Adbri Masonry is leading masonry manufacturer in Australia. The Challenge
Adbri Masonry had the issue of large amounts of dust build up containing silica, which introduced both manual handling issues and
OHS issues.
They had been using a system of sweeping and shovelling, however they were unable to handle the bulk amounts and control the risk
of exposure to silica.
Silicosis occurs through inhaling dust containing silica and
can cause permanent and irreversible scarring of the lungs
The Solution
The solution was investing in multiple 1000L, 23kW vacuum systems equipped with H14 HEPA filtration.
These machines were used at multiple sites across Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.
