Over the last decade we have seen all the things we use become smaller and more useful than they once were. Laptops are now more powerful and easier to use than the large main frames from 30 years ago. Mobile phones have shrunk from the size of a small brief case to something that sits in our pockets, and are capable of doing things that we could only dream of 15 years ago. Small 4 cylinder cars now produce more power than a V8 of only 10 years ago. This is proof that great things come in small packages.
A large ducted vacuum system may seem suitable in many bulk handling situations, however there may be times where it is excessive for the task at hand. It may be difficult and expensive to have hoses in every location needed, it may not be used constantly meaning that the expense is not as justifiable and it may require complex ducting. A dedicated high power, high volume or high air flow system that is fixed in place may not be suitable. A system that can work across many locations, transported by forklift and positioned into place on industrial castors could be the answer.
Scaling size down and power up has been part of Delfin’s Research and development over the past 30 years. Delfin’s knowledgeable team have designed a compact, yet powerful 3 phase vacuum system that bridges the gap between large ducted systems and smaller 100 Ltr vacuums – the C600T.
The Delfin C600T
At only one meter wide (smaller than a standard pallet) it fits into tight spaces with ease. A large 600 Litre forklift-able tub and rapid emptying eliminates the need for manual handling. Power options range from 7.5kW to 15kW with a side channel blower setup, which is more than adequate for smaller bulk handling tasks.
Not only have Delfin made this compact, portable vacuum powerful it is also incredibly quiet. Emitting only 75dB equating to somewhere between a loud conversation (70dB) and kerbside traffic (80dB). Under the Worksafe Australia model WHS Regulations “over an eight-hour shift a worker can’t be exposed to more than 85 decibels.” Making the Delfin C600 the non-noisy partner in the work place.
The air returned to the atmosphere is of large concern in many industry sectors, in particular those working around silica. The C600T can be optioned with premium HEPA 14 filtration, filtering 99.995% of dust particles 0.1-.02 µm. To put this into perspective the Covid 19 virus is 0.16 µm and silica dust is between 0.1 and 100 µm. HEPA filtration ensures staff and operator health and safety is prioritised and the organisation meets relevant Australian Standards.
To keep the C600T running efficiently (and to reduce your maintenance costs!) the vacuum is fitted with a filter cleaning mechanism. Operating this regularly ensures the filter is kept cleaner for longer and provides greater suction, thus greater productivity.
