Hydro Excavation is the process of excavating soil with pressurised water and then using a vacuum to transfer the material into a debris tank. The high-pressure water cuts through & breaks up the soil, this will create a slurry. The vacuum is then able to lift the slurry from the excavation area and the material is transferred to the debris tank.
This non-destructive process is a more accurate way to excavate soil. The risk of damaging utility services is reduced, when compared to manual or mechanical digging methods. This enables safe, fast, precise excavation that requires less backfill, labour and restoration.
Other Advantages to using hydro-excavation
Contractors discovered that using hydro-excavation with water during cold weather or drought was an effective alternative. This is because during tough climate seasons, the ground is firmer and less easy to dig, which is harder to excavate using traditional mechanical means.
Our EnduroVac Tank systems have been specifically designed to handle any wet and dry application. The AIV tanks are Australian made. Designed by our in-house engineering team and made at our local fabricator in mild steel, our tanks are primed and then powder coated. Tanks are available in 400L, 850L and 1000L capacities. Make your job quicker and easier with equipment powered by your choice of a Petrol or Diesel electric key-start engine, also featuring three-stage filtration with a cyclone separator.
Spend less time emptying your debris tank with the ease of operation. Our 400L tanks are mounted with a hydraulic pump jack and the 850L/1000L tanks are equipped with a triple cylinder hydraulic tipping and hydraulic opening door.
